Top H1B Sponsor Companies in Arizona in 2026

A hospital medical group in Arizona reports an average H1B prevailing wage of $275,832 the highest single employer figure we have seen across every state in this entire series. Banner Medical Group is not a tech company or a Wall Street bank. It is a physician group practice in the Phoenix area, and its wage data is a reminder that medicine, not software, is often where the highest H1B compensation actually lives.

Why H1B Applicants Are Paying Attention To Arizona Right Now

Arizona has been quietly transforming into one of the most interesting H1B destinations in the country, and the semiconductor industry is the main reason why.

Intel has had a massive presence in Chandler for decades. TSMC is building what may become the most significant chip fabrication facility in US history in North Phoenix. ASML, the Dutch company that makes the machines that make chips, operates a major US base here. ASM America, Microchip Technology, and ON Semiconductor round out a semiconductor cluster that rivals anything outside California or Texas.

That is the core story. But Arizona has more going on. GoDaddy runs a major technology operation in Scottsdale. Blue Yonder, one of the leading supply chain software companies in the world, is headquartered in the Phoenix suburbs. Axon Enterprise, the company behind Taser and police body cameras, sponsors H1B workers here too. And the healthcare sector, led by Banner Health, is one of the largest employers in the entire state.

Add in a lower cost of living than California, no semiconductor jobs exodus to worry about because the fabs are here, and you have a market that makes a genuine case for itself in 2026.

Let us dig into what this data is actually telling us.

Intel’s dominance in Arizona is total. With 4,679 filings, Intel accounts for the vast majority of all H1B activity in the state. The 97.8% approval rate across that volume is solid, and the average prevailing wage of $117,689 reflects serious engineering compensation for the region. If you are a semiconductor engineer, process engineer, or hardware designer, Intel’s Chandler campus is effectively the center of the Arizona H1B universe.

ASML appears twice, as ASML US LP and ASML US LLC, with a combined 358 filings and approval rates of 98.2% and 99.2% respectively. ASML makes the extreme ultraviolet lithography machines that virtually every advanced chip fab in the world depends on. There are very few companies anywhere with more specialized engineering demand, and Arizona is one of their primary US bases. If you are in precision engineering, optics, or semiconductor equipment, ASML is one of the most technically interesting employers on this entire list.

TSMC Arizona’s 100% approval rate across 139 filings is worth noting carefully. TSMC’s Phoenix fab is still ramping up, and this filing volume is just the beginning. As the facility reaches full production, TSMC Arizona will become one of the largest H1B sponsors in the state by volume. Getting in early, before competition intensifies, is a real strategic consideration for semiconductor professionals.

The two Banner Health entities tell an important story. Banner University Medical Group reported an average prevailing wage of $257,196 across 80 filings. Banner Medical Group reported $275,832 across 52 filings. These are physician and specialist roles, not administrative or tech positions, and the compensation reflects that. For physicians pursuing H1B sponsorship, Arizona’s healthcare sector offers some of the highest wages we have seen anywhere in our state-by-state series.

PetSmart is one of the more unexpected names on this list with a perfect 100% approval rate and an average wage of $129,251. Like Home Depot in Georgia or Costco in Washington, PetSmart is a retail company that runs a serious corporate technology operation from its Phoenix headquarters. These are not pet store roles; they are software engineering and data science positions at a Fortune 500 company that most candidates never target.

The Standouts: Best and Worst Arizona H1B Sponsors

Banner Medical Group. An average prevailing wage of $275,832 is the highest single employer figure in our entire state series. If you are a physician or medical specialist weighing H1B sponsorship options in the Southwest, Banner Medical Group represents one of the strongest compensation packages available anywhere. The 98.1% approval rate is solid given the complexity of physician visa cases.

TSMC Arizona Corporation. A perfect 100% approval rate, a $114,752 average wage, and a company at the very beginning of what will be a massive US expansion. For semiconductor engineers who want to be part of something genuinely historic, TSMC Arizona is an employer worth targeting now, before the hiring volume and competition both surge.

GoDaddy.com LLC. A perfect 100% approval rate across 183 filings, with no wage data matched in our dataset but well-documented competitive pay in the industry. GoDaddy’s Tempe engineering operation is far larger than most people realize, and the spotless sponsorship record makes it one of the cleaner options for software and data candidates in the Phoenix market.

Axon Enterprise Inc. The lowest approval rate on this list at 94.1%, with 4 denials out of 68 filings. Axon makes compelling products and is a genuinely interesting employer, but the approval rate sits below what most Arizona employers are posting. Worth asking your immigration attorney specifically about the role classification before accepting an offer here.

Align Technology Inc. A 96.3% approval rate is not alarming on its own, but it is the second weakest on this list. Align makes Invisalign clear aligners and is headquartered in Tempe. Most of its H1B roles are engineering and technology positions. The rate is not a red flag, just worth noting in the context of an otherwise very clean Arizona dataset.

What This Means If You Are Job Hunting Right Now

If you are a semiconductor or hardware engineer, Arizona is one of the best states in the country to target right now. Intel, TSMC, ASML, ASM America, Microchip Technology, and ON Semiconductor create a cluster of chip-related employers that is genuinely rare outside California. The difference is that Arizona’s cost of living is dramatically lower than the Bay Area while the technical work is just as serious.

If you are a physician or medical specialist, the Banner Health entities here are paying at a level that very few employers anywhere can match. The Phoenix healthcare market is large and growing, and Banner’s H1B track record is strong.

If you are in software, do not overlook GoDaddy, Blue Yonder, Carvana, or PetSmart. All four have solid approval records and represent real corporate technology operations in the Phoenix metro that fly under the radar for most H1B candidates focused on traditional tech hubs.

One more name worth a specific callout: Early Warning Services, the company behind the Zelle payment network, is headquartered in Scottsdale and filed 82 petitions at a 98.8% approval rate. If you are in fintech or payments technology, this is a genuinely interesting employer that almost nobody targets specifically.

What This Data Does Not Tell You

Wage data is missing for several major employers including ASML, GoDaddy, Microchip Technology, and Blue Yonder. This is a dataset matching limitation, not evidence of poor compensation. ASML in particular is well documented as a high-paying employer for specialized engineering talent.

TSMC Arizona’s current filing volume of 139 petitions reflects only the early stages of its US operations. As the fab ramps up production over the next several years, both the filing volume and the competition for roles will increase substantially. The current window is early by any measure.

IntraEdge and Semiconductor Components Industries each appear twice under slightly different entity names. Consider each pair together when evaluating overall scale and reliability at those employers.

The Bottom Line

Arizona’s H1B story in 2026 is primarily a semiconductor story, anchored by Intel and rapidly expanding with TSMC, ASML, and a cluster of chip-related companies that make Phoenix one of the most important hardware engineering markets outside California.

Beyond semiconductors, the state offers real depth in healthcare compensation, corporate technology at unexpected retail and fintech employers, and a cost of living that makes the wages go further than they would in most major coastal markets.

The approval rates here are consistently strong almost across the board. If you are a hardware engineer, physician, or software professional open to the Southwest, Arizona deserves serious attention in your 2026 H1B job search.
